In 2012, to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Bullion Uncirculated Diamond Jubilee Gold Half Sovereign Coin Pack struck in solid 22 Carat Gold.

The new reverse design of the 2012 Full Sovereign depicts a Modern St George and the Dragon, designed by Paul Day, while the obverse features the stunning portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen, by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS on the obverse.
