In 2012 to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint on behalf of the Cayman Islands released a very Limited Issue Diamond Jubilee $5 Five Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver.

The reverse depicts Yacht Britannia while the obverse has a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley .
 These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
