2012 Australia Diamond Jubilee $1 Silver Proof 1oz Coin

In 2012 to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the Perth Mint released a very Limited Issue Diamond Jubilee $1 One Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing one ounce of pure Silver with Selective Gold Gilding.

The reverse depicts a representation of a portrait of Her Majesty The Queen, flanked by heraldic trumpets and her Royal cypher surmounted by St Edward's Crown. The design features a detailed 24-carat gilded motif of St Edward's Crown and the Royal Shield. The inscriptions DIAMOND JUBILEE – HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II and the dates 1952 and 2012 are also incorporated in the design while the obverse design depicts Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
