Welcome to the London Coin Company online Shop. Please review the following basic terms that govern your use and purchase of products from our Site. Please note that your use of our Site constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by those terms (the “Agreement”).

How the 'Agreement' is formed between you and us

1. To be eligible to register a Customer Account, you have to be 16 years of age or older and agree to us carrying out certain credit and personal identity and residency checks for the purposes of anti-money laundering, identification and risk mitigation and you shall provide us with such documentation as we may require to satisfy these purposes upon registration and from time to time thereafter; are not currently banned from making a purchase or from having a Customer Account. You can only maintain one Customer Account at any given time.

2. After placing an order via website, you will receive an invoice in order to make the payment. (Acknowledgement)

3. The agreement between us ('Agreement') will only be formed when we take the payment for the Product and it was despatched to the delivery address that you have provided ('Despatch').

4. All Products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time prior to Despatch.

5. We cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour or design will accurately reflect the colour or design of the Products on delivery.

6. We will endeavor to deliver within 1 to 3 working days of the date of your order, unless exceptional circumstances or on the advertised delivery date, in the event of a delay we will notify you in writing of the delay. In the case of Pre-orders , delivery date will be advertised accordingly. 

7. You must notify us within 14 days (UK customers) and 30 days (International customers) of the advised date of Shipping in the event of non-receipt by you of the Products.

8. Responsibility of and risk in the Products shall pass to you on confirmation of delivery by the shipping company.

11. Prices are subject to change at any time because of fluctuations of the market. 

10. You can pay for products using Paypal, Debit Cards, Credit Cards and Bank Transfer. Additional identification for security may be required for Paypal payments up to a maximum of £5000, for Debit Cards and Credit Cards payments up to a maximum of £5,000 and only available to customers who are 3D Secure. For more payment details please see our payment policy.

11. We reserve the right to limit the maximum quantities of Products which may be purchased by any individual or company.

12 We shall not be liable to you for any losses arising in connection with the natural and inherent ageing, tarnishing, discolouring and/or toning of the Products following delivery.

13. Its buyer's responsibility to check that they can legally import the items they purchase from us, and supply any paperwork needed, as we take no responsibility for the customs regulations of other countries. 

14 If Product was sent you in error we will request return and reimburse you for the cost of return.

15. Items which are returned for a refund will not be refunded postage costs, unless the goods were found to be faulty or incorrectly described. In order to prevent fraudulent claims for damaged coins or distressed coins by swapping with personal stock, the claim will be thoroughly investigated by our Returns Department and checked against our records, as ALL stock is personally checked prior dispatch before a decision to refund or exchange is made.  For more details please see our return policy.

16. For Precious Metal Coins in Gold, Silver and Platinum the right to cancel under Regulation 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling Regulation 2000) does not apply because the price of the goods/coins we sell are dependent upon fluctuations in the financial markets that are beyond our control.

Gift Cards

The London Coin Company Ltd reserves the right to update and change the terms and conditions of The London Coin Company gift cards at any time. This does not affect your legal rights. Use of The London Coin Company gift card constitutes acceptance of our Terms and Conditions and we therefore recommend you read them carefully. The London Coin Company gift cards remain the property of The London Coin Company who maintains the right to cancel the card in situations where it is deemed necessary to do so.

The value of The London Coin Company gift card can be redeemed for any product on The London Coin Company Website www.thelondoncoincompany.com. The gift card balance cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed against the purchase of another card. Please note The London Coin Company gift cards can only be used at The London Coin Company Website and cannot be used on third party platforms. 

The maximum amount that The London Coin Company gift card can hold is £1,000.

Validity

The London Coin Company gift card is valid for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase, after which any remaining balance will be removed and the card will become invalid and no longer available for use.

Lost/ Stolen/ Damaged

In cases where The London Coin Company gift card is lost or stolen, The London Coin Company is unable to replace or reimburse the remaining balance on a card. The London Coin Company cannot be held responsible for the any balance lost on The London Coin Company gift card as a result of theft or fraud. The London Coin Company gift cards have a unique serial number on the card which is required for online purchases. The London Coin Company cannot be held responsible for any unauthorised use where the card number has become known to another party.

Crediting The London Coin Company Gift Card

Should you return product(s) purchased using The London Coin Company gift card for an exchange of a lesser value, any refund amount due will be credited to the original method of payment. In the event that you may have discarded The London Coin Company gift card, a new Card will be issued to you with the refund amount applied.

If a partial refund is made for any purchase using The London Coin Company gift card and another method of payment, then any refund amount owing will be credited to The London Coin Company gift card in the first instance.

If the total to be refunded is more than originally paid by The London Coin Company gift card, then any remaining refund balance will be refunded to the other method of payment used (debit/credit card or bank transfer).

Governing Law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

General

We may from time to time change the terms that govern your use of our Site. Your use of our Site following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the terms as changed. We may change, move or delete portions of, or may add to, our Site from time to time.

Unless otherwise noted, all materials, including images, illustrations, designs, icons, photographs, video clips and written and other materials that appear as part of this Site (collectively, the "Contents") are copyrights, trademarks, trade dress and/or other intellectual properties owned, controlled or licensed by The London Coin Company Ltd collectively and its subsidiaries and/or affiliates ("The London Coin Company Online Shop"). We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold The London Coin Company harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including solicitor’s fees, arising from or related to your use of the Site.

Data protection and Privacy

All information held by The London Coin Company on our customers and transactions entered into thereof, is held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

You acknowledge, by your use of the site, that your use of the site is at your sole risk, that you assume full responsibility for all costs associated with all necessary servicing or repairs of any equipment you use in connection with your use of our site and that The London Coin Company shall not be liable for any damages of any kind related to your use of this site.  

Miscellaneous

Unless otherwise specified and except to the extent The London Coin Company products are offered for sale Internationally through this Site, this Site and the Contents thereof are displayed solely for the purpose of promoting The London Coin Company products and services which are available Internationally.

Numismatic Coins should be owned primarily for collector interest, The London Coin Company does not offer them as an investment and makes no guarantee in terms of future value. 

Termination:

This Agreement is effective unless and until terminated by either you or The London Coin Company. You may terminate this Agreement at any time. The London Coin Company also may terminate this Agreement at any time and may do so immediately without notice and accordingly deny you access to the Site, if in The London Coin Company‘s sole discretion you fail to comply with any term or provision of this Agreement. Upon any termination of this Agreement by either you or The London Coin Company, you must promptly destroy all materials downloaded or otherwise obtained from this Site, as well as all copies of such materials, whether made under the terms of this Agreement or otherwise.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you may cancel the 'Agreement' pursuant to the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 at any time within 14 days beginning on the day after you received the Product(s). In this case, you will receive a full refund of the full original purchase price paid for the Products along with the delivery charges paid in accordance with our return policy. You will be responsible for the costs of returning the Products to us and this cannot be refunded unless the Products are confirmed by us to be damaged or sub-standard.

Force Majeure

The London Coin Company are not liable or responsible for any delay or failure to perform any of our contractual agreements, caused by the events outside our reasonable control (i.e Force Majeure Events)

A Force Majeure Event can include, but is not limited to an act, event, o-occurrence, accident or omission that is beyond our reasonable control, including: 

Civil common, riot, terrorist attack (or threat of), war (declared or undeclared) or any occurrence resulting from a declared crisis in the banking system.

Fire, Flood, earthquake, storm, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.
Inability to use transport, including railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport and any other means of private  or public transport.
Inability to use public or private telecommunications networks/internet.
Any obligations of The London Coin Company are suspended for the duration of any Force Majeure Event, we will have additional time to perform our obligations for the duration of that Event. 
The London Coin Company will take any reasonable steps to help bring the Force Majeure Event to an end or find a way to complete our obligations despite the Event, and resume normal trading terms as soon after the event as possible.
