In 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Diamond Jubilee Premium Sovereign Gold Proof 3 Coin Set all struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and includes the £2 Double Sovereign, Full Sovereign and Half Sovereign Coins.

The set is housed in a handsome walnut-veneer presentation case and is accompanied by an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Mint.

Each of the 22 Carat Gold Proof Sovereigns features on the reverse the new design by Paul Day which is a modern approach to St George and the Dragon while the obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
