In 2019, to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Victoria, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Queen Victoria £5 Five Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold.

The reverse designed by John Bergdahl captures the bustle of Victorian life and features a Young Head Portrait of Queen Victoria as well as a number of innovations of the age.
The obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
