2018 United Kingdom Gold Proof 5 Coin Set Box Coa - Mintage 175

In 2018 the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue United Kingdom Gold Proof 5 Coin Set all struck in solid 22 Carat Gold.

The collection includes the new £5 Five Pound Coin celebrating the 5th Birthday of Prince George, three new £2 Two Pound Coins, the first celebrates the 200th Anniversary of the Publication of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the second coin continues the First World War Series and commemorates Armistice and the third coin celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force.

Also included is the new 50p Fifty Pence Coin which commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Representation of the People Act 1918. All the coins have been struck in solid 22 Carat Gold to a Proof quality and housed in a handsome walnut-veneer presentation Box and accompanied by an individual numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Mint.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
