In 2018, to celebrate the Fifth Birthday of Prince George of Cambridge, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Prince George £5 Five Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM.
The reverse features St George Slaying the Dragon while the obverse depicts the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II both designed by Jody Clark. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
