In 2016 to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Eureka Diamond, the South African Mint has released a Limited Issue Launch Mint Mark Krugerrand Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold weighing one ounce of pure Gold with a special 100th Anniversary Mint Mark.

The reverse of the coin designed by Coert Steynberg depicts a Springbok Antelope one of the national symbols of South Africa and the obverse has the portrait of Paul Kruger.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
