2016 Britannia Premium Gold Proof 6 Coin Set Box Coa - Mintage 174

For 2016 the Royal Mint released it's yearly Limited Issue Premium Britannia Gold Proof 6 Coin Set struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold.

The collection includes the £100 Gold Proof Coin weighing one ounce of pure Gold, the £50 Gold Proof Coin weighing one half ounce of pure gold, the £25 Gold Proof Coin weighing one quarter of an ounce of pure Gold, the £10 Gold Proof Coin weighing one tenth of an ounce of pure Gold, £1 Gold Proof Coin weighing one twentieth of an ounce of pure Gold and the 50p Gold Proof Coin weighing one fortieth of an ounce of pure gold.

The reverse designed by Suzie Zamit features Britannia with Fork and Shield with Lion at her feet while the obverse depicts the Fifth Portrait by Jody Clark of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
