2014 British Lunar Horse £100 Gold Proof 1oz Coin Box Coa Sealed - Mintage 811
In 2014 for the first time in history, the Royal Mint released a British Lunar Horse £100 One Hundred Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold weighing one ounce of fine pure Gold.
The reverse of the Lunar Horse £100 Gold Proof Coin designed by Wuon-Gean Ho depicts a powerful horse paired with the famous Uffington Horse, an ancient white horse carved into the chalk hills of Oxfordshire, at its feet.
The obverse features Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
