In 2013 to celebrate the Koala, the Perth Mint released a very special Limited Issue Koala High Relief $200 Two Hundred Dollar Gold Proof Coin struck in solid fine .9999 Gold weighing two ounces of pure Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.
The reverse depicts an adult Koala sitting on the branch of a eucalyptus tree, surrounded by gum leaves while the obverse has Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
