In 2013 the Royal Australian Mint released a very special Limited Issue Aboriginal Elder $2 Two Dollar Gold Proof Coin struck in solid fine 99.99% Gold weighing just over one half of an ounce of pure Gold.

The reverse design depicts the head and shoulders of a traditional Australian Aboriginal, a representation of the Southern Cross and Australian flora.
The obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
