2000 Australia Millennium Bi-Metal $20 Gold Silver Proof Coin PCGS PR69 DCAM
In 2000 to celebrate the new Millennium, the Perth Mint released a very Limited Issue Millennium Bi-Metal $20 Twenty Dollar Gold and Silver Proof Coin and has been Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.
It features a solid fine .999 Pure Gold centerpiece and is surrounded by a 99.99% Pure Silver border.
The gold centerpiece of the Perth Mint Millennium coin replicates a satellite view of earth, from 1,000,000 kms above the most northerly point of Australia, surrounded by a silver border carrying the inscription "Third Millennium First Day 2000".
On the obverse is the stunning portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank Broadley.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
