In 2012 to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Brilliant Uncirculated St George and the Dragon £5 Five Pound Sovereign Gold Coin with a special new design.

The Gold £5 Five Pound Coin is struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and is housed in a handsome walnut-veneer presentation case and is accompanied by an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Mint.

The new reverse design of the 2012 Gold £5 Five Pound Crown depicts a Modern St George and the Dragon which has been designed by Paul Day while the obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS on the obverse.
