In 2011 to celebrate the 90th Birthday of Prince Philip, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Prince Philip £5 Five Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.
The reverse is a portrait of Prince Philip and the obverse is the stunning effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
