In 2011 to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Higher Gold Proof 3 Coin Set all struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and is the second set of three from the series of nine.

The collection includes a £100 One Hundred Pound Gold Proof Coin weighing one ounce of fine gold and two £25 Twenty Five Pound Gold Proof Coins each weighing one-quarter of an ounce of fine gold and is an official product of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The reverse of the £100 One Hundred Pound Gold Proof Coin depicts Jupiter and the two £25 Twenty Five Pound Gold Proof Coins one depicting Apollo and the second Juno.

The obverse of all the coins features the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
