In 2011 to celebrate the Capital Cities of the United Kingdom, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Edinburgh £1 One Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR68 DCAM.

The reverse of the Edinburgh Coin depicts the Coat of Arms of Edinburgh while the obverse features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
