2011 - 2010 Capital Cities of the UK £1 Gold Proof 4 Coin Set Box Coa
In 2011 to celebrate the Cities of the United Kingdom, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Cities of the United Kingdom £1 One Pound Gold Proof 4 Coin Set all struck in solid 22 Carat Gold.
The collection includes coins for Belfast, London, Cardiff and Edinburgh all struck in solid 22 Carat Gold to Proof quality and housed in a handsome walnut-veneer presentation Box and accompanied by an individual numbered Certificate of Authenticity for each coin signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Mint.
The reverse design of each coin is the Coat of Arms for that city while the obverse of each coin has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
