2009 Britannia Gold Proof 4 Coin Set Box Coa Sealed

In 2009 the Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue Britannia Gold Proof 4 Coin Set struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and are available in four denominations: £100, £50, £25 and £10.

All four coins feature the dynamic portrayal of Britannia created by Philip Nathan for the coins of 1997, the only other time it has previously featured on the gold Britannia coins.

The 2009 Britannia Collection, therefore, represents the first time that this design has been combined on a gold coin with the portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
