In 2006 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of King Edward VII, the South African Mint released a Limited Issue Prestige Krugerrand Gold Proof 4 Coin Set and includestheGold Proof 1oz Coin, 1/2oz,1/4oz, 1/10oz Coins and a solid .925 Sterling Silver Medallion and Certificate of Authenticity Number 0001.
The reverse of the coins designed by Coert Steynberg depicts a Springbok Antelope one of the national symbols of South Africa and the obverse of all the coins have the portrait of Paul Kruger. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
