2006 Britannia Portrait £25 Gold Proof 5 Coin Set Box Coa

In 2006 the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Britannia £25 Twenty Five Pound Gold Proof 5 Coin Set all struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and each coin weighing one quarter of an ounce of pure Gold and brings together five portraits in one Britannia Gold Proof Coin Set.

The Britannia Gold complete set features five distinct, beautiful, and unique designs by world-renowned design Phillip Nathan. Each coin features a different interpretation of the symbolic Britannia figure, and with the exception of the Standing Britannia, are all one-year-only designs.

Set includes: The Original Britannia, Philip Nathan's original portrait and a 1987 Coin of the Year winner 1997 The Chariot Britannia 2001 Britannia and the British Lion 2003 The Profile Britannia and 2005 The Seated Britannia.

Each Proof coin is individually encapsulated and the entire set is presented in an official Royal Mint presentation case and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and story-card detailing the history of Britannia.
