This set celebrates the discovery of the largest gemstone to have ever been discovered, and although South Africa's gold and diamond are scattered throughout the world, they should always be associated with Treasures of Africa.
The reverse of the coin designed by Coert Steynberg depicts a Springbok Antelope one of the national symbols of South Africa and the obverse has the portrait of Paul Kruger.
Also included is a miniature crown and scepter which have been specially created in solid .925 Sterling Silver and plated in 24 Carat Gold.
Each is set with a '0.05' TTLB Diamond which symbolizes the 'Star of Africa. The crown weighs 12.00 grams and scepter 5 grams.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
