2002 South Africa Special Prestige Natura Cheetah Gold Proof 4 Coin Set Box Coa - Mintage 300

In 2002 the South African Mint released a very special Limited Issue Special Prestige Natura Cheetah Gold Proof 4 Coin Set all struck in solid 24 Carat Gold and includes the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz coins and is the first in the series of the Wild Cats of Africa series.

The Cheetah is the first animal portrayed on the South African Mint New Natura coins.
The reverse of the coins designed by N. van Niekerk portrays a Cheetah looking around and the obverse designed by A. L. Sutherland is a portrait of a Cheetah and a Cheetah running.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
