In 2002 to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee, the Royal Mint in conjunction with the Bank of England released a very Limited Golden Jubilee £5 Five Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and a £20 Twenty Pound Banknote Set.

The Special Banknote features the special Cypher ER50 and the serial number between 000151 and 000250 and ER will not be produced for general circulation and therefore these are the only notes to have this cypher.
In harmony with the Crowns struck for the Coronation and the Silver Jubilee a splendid equestrian portrait features on the obverse, while the reverse bears a mature and reflective portrait of the Queen.
A maximum of 100 sets will be issued.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
