2000 Australia Sydney Olympic Games $30 Silver Proof Kilo Coin

In 2000 to celebrate the Australia Sydney Olympic Games, the Perth Mint released a very Limited Issue $30 Thirty Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver and weighing one Kilo of pure Silver.

The reverse designed by Stuart Devlin depicts all 28 sports of the games and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Logo in colour.
The top half of the coin is edge-lettered with the words GAMES OF THE XXVII OLYMPIAD and the lower half carries the edge-lettering 1 KILO 999 SILVER. The Millennium Athlete also appears on the left and right edges of the coin.
The obverse design is the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
