In 1994 to commemorate John F Kennedy, the Royal Mint on behalf of the Government of Niue released a Limited Issue John F Kennedy $25 Twenty Five Dollar Gold Proof Coin struck in solid fine .999 Gold weighing one twenty-fifth of an ounce of pure Gold.

The reverse features a John Fitzpatrick Kennedy at his inauguration ceremony January 1961 while the obverse depicts the Niue Coat of Arms.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
