In 1986 the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Lunar Year of the Tiger $1000 One Thousand Dollar Gold Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold on behalf of the Hong Kong Government.
The reverse design depicts an artists impression of a species of Tiger while the obverse depicts Arnold Machin's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
