In 1937 to celebrate the Coronation of King George VI, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Coronation Silver Proof Crown Coin struck in solid .500 Silver.

The reverse is the Royal Arms designed Kruger Gray and the obverse is a portrait of King George VI by Humphrey Paget.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
