1/4oz Silver Britannia Coins
| The British Britannia Silver 1/4oz Coin was first struck by the Royal Mint in 1997 and has been released every year since apart from the years 1999, 2000 and 2002, 2004 and 2006. Each Britannia 50p Fifty Pence Silver Proof Coin contains one quarter of an ounce of pure Silver and in 2013 the Royal Mint changed the metal content purity from .958 Silver to fine .999 Silver. From 1997 till 2012 the weight was 8.114 Grams with a diameter of 22.00mm and from 2013 on-wards the weight was 7.86 Grams also with a diameter of 22.00mm. |
