To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Paddington Bear, the Royal Mint released a special range of Limited Issue Paddington Bear 50p Fifty Pence Coins struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Proof, Coloured .925 Sterling Silver Proof and Base Metal Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
The reverse of the first coin in the series features Paddington Bear at Paddington Station, the second coin Paddington Bear at Buckingham Palace, the third coin Paddington at the Tower of London and the fourth coin Paddington at St Paul's Cathedral all designed by David Knapton while the obverse of all the coins depicts the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
