In 2022 to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Platinum Jubilee £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid Fine .999 Silver weighing two ounces of pure Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM First Strike with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.

The reverse design features a Royal Mantle as a surround as used on coinage of William IV with 1952 - 2022 while the obverse design depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on horseback reminiscent of previous jubilee designs.
Both the reverse and obverse designs have been designed by John Bergdahl.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
