For 2022 to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Struck on the Day Platinum Jubilee Celebration Gold Matte Full Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold with a Plain Edge Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS70 with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.

The entire issue of 1,200 coins were struck on Sunday the 6th February 2022 the first day of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations and is the official Struck on the Day Queen's Platinum Jubilee Gold Full Sovereign Coin.

The new reverse design of the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Gold Full Sovereign Coin feature a special Royal Coat of Arms designed by Timothy Noad to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, together with the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Jody Clark on the obverse.
