In 2017 to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Pistrucci's Reverse Design from 1817, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Struck on the Day St George and the Dragon Gold Full Sovereign Coin struck with a plain edge in solid 22 Carat Gold on Pistrucci's 200th Anniversary 1st July 2017 Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as MS70 DPML.
Each of the 22 Carat Gold Sovereigns features the legendary St George and the Dragon reverse from 1817 designed by Benedetto Pistrucci , together with the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Jody Clark on the obverse.
