For 2017 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the First Krugerrand, on behalf of South Africa released a very special Limited Issue 50th Anniversary Premium Krugerrand Gold and Silver 2 Coin Set both struck with the special 50th Anniversary Privy Mark.

The collection includes the Gold Krugerrand Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold weighing one-tenth of an ounce of pure Gold and the Silver Krugerrand Coin struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing one ounce of pure Silver both with the special 50th Anniversary Privy Mark.

The reverse of the coin designed by Coert Steynberg depicts a Springbok Antelope one of the national symbols of South Africa and the obverse has the portrait of Paul Kruger.
