In 2017 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the first Silver Proof Britannia from 1997, the Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue Britannia £2 Two Pound Silver Coin in struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver with a special edge inscription "1997 - 2017".

The reverse depicts Philip Nathan's original design from 1997 the majestic figure of Britannia standing proud and bold in her chariot, being drawn along the seashore by two mighty horses while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
