2013 British Floral England Rose Oak £1 Proof Coin

In 2013 the Royal Mint launched a new series of coins with a theme of British Floral and released a special Limited Issue Floral England £1 One Pound Proof Coin and is the first in a series of 4 coins.

The £1 One Pound Proof Coin designed by Timothy Noad depicts a Rose for the Royal Badge of England and Royal Oak an unofficial symbol of English vigour and also of the Royal Navy.
The obverse features Ian Rank Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
