In 2010 the South African Mint released a very special Limited Issue Prestige Natura Black Rhino Gold Proof 4 Coin Set all struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold and includes the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz coins and is the second in the series of Safari through South Africa series.

Natura Series of Numismatic Gold Coins, the theme called Safari Through South Africa began in 2009 which featured The White Rhinoceros to celebrate the successful 'Save the Rhino' project which saved these highly endangered species from certain extinction and the 2010 version commemorates the Black Rhino.
