In 2009, the South African Mint released a Limited Issue Prestige Krugerrand Gold Proof 4 Coin Set, which includes the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz Coins.
The reverse of the coins designed by Coert Steynberg depicts a Springbok Antelope, one of the national symbols of South Africa, while the obverse of all the coins features the portrait of Paul Kruger. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
