The portrait is new and refreshing yet remains true to her character depicting her as an elegant, yet commanding, figure standing watch on the windswept shore incorporating the motifs of the lighthouse, the trident, the shield and the helmet that have long been associated with the numismatic image of Britannia.
The reverse of all the coins is the stunning portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
