2006 Guilford Cathedral Elizabeth II Maundy Silver 4 Coin Set PCGS PL69

In 2006 the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Maundy Silver 4 Coin Set all struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver and includes the 4D Four Pence down to the 1D One Pence and was given at Guilford Cathedral Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PL69.

The reverse design of each coin depicts a crowned numeral in a wreath of oak leaves.
The obverse depicts the stunning young head portrait of Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick.
Maundy Money, legally called "the Queen's Maundy Money" is a welcoming British coinage given to deserving poor people in a religious ceremony performed, in many periods with the participation of the monarch, on Maundy Thursday, the Thursday before Easter.
