2003 Gold Proof Full Sovereign is particularly significant, being issued in the year that Her Majesty, The Queen celebrates the 50th Anniversary of her Coronation. The reverse carries Pistrucci's classic design of
St George Slaying The Dragon while the obverse depicts
Ian Rank Broadley's elegant portrait of the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
