2002 South Africa Natura Cheetah 20 Rand Gold Proof 1/4oz Coin Box Coa

In 2002 to celebrate the Cheetah, the South African Mint released a very Limited Issue Natura Cheetah Gold Proof Coin struck in solid Fine 999.9 Gold weighing one-quarter of an ounce of pure Gold.

The Cheetah is the first animal portrayed on the South African Mint New Natura Coins.
The reverse of the coin designed by N. van Niekerk portrays a Cheetah looking around and the obverse designed by A. L. Sutherland is a portrait of a Cheetah and a Cheetah running.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
