In 1989 to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Canadian Maple, Leaf the Royal Canadian Mint released a Limited Issue Maple Leaf $5 Five Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid fine .9999 Silver weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM.

The reverse design depicts a Maple Leaf while the obverse has the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
