1987 Britannia Coins
| In July 1987, the Royal Mint was authorised by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II to issue new United Kingdom Britannia Gold Coins struck in solid 22 Carat Gold. Named after the symbolic figure of Britannia, who graces the reverse design, the coins are available in four denominations: £100 Gold 1oz Coin, £50 Gold 1/2oz Coin, £25 Gold 1/4oz Coin and £10 1/10oz Coins. |
