In 1885 to celebrate The Times Newspaper Centenary Celebration in 1885 at Bearwood, the home of the Walter family in Wokingham, Berkshire, released a Limited Issue Times Newspaper Centenary Silver Medal by Strongi'th'arm Seal Engraver to Her Majesty.
John Walter founded the paper as the Daily Universal Register in 1785 and the family retained an interest in the newspaper until the 1960's.
The reverse of the Centenary Silver Medal struck by Strongi'th'arm depicts a clock and the words Centenary Celebration Bearwood 1885 while the obverse features the Founder John Walter I, John Walter II and John Walter III the Newspapers proprietors to that date.
