The Royal Mint Premium Commemorative Proof Coin Set of 2023 comprises five coins of the present coinage of the United Kingdom, including a special proof medal, all struck to the Royal Mint's Proof quality.
Included is the new £5 Five Pound Coin celebrating the 75th Anniversary of His Majesty King Charles III, Two new £2 Two Pound Coins, the first celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Flying Scotsman and the second celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Life and Work of JRR Tolkien.
Also included are the new 50p Fifty Pence Coins, which celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Windrush Generation and 75th Anniversary of the NHS National Health Service. All the coins features the
portrait of His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse by Martin Jennings. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
