For 2020, to celebrate Disney's Winnie the Pooh, the Royal Mint released a special collection of nine coins, with the third coin featuring a Limited Issue Piglet 50p Fifty Pence Gold Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold.
The reverse, designed by The Walt Disney Company, features Piglet with a friendly bee also joining the scene – a detail that unites all of the coins in the collection, while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
