In 2020, to celebrate a new collection called Music Legends, the Royal Mint released the first coin in the series, a Limited Issue Queen £500 Five Hundred Pound Gold Proof Coin struck in solid fine 999.9 Gold weighing five ounces of pure Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM First Strike with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology and includes Certificate of Authenticity 01.
The reverse of the Music Legends Queen Gold Coin, designed by Chris Facey, features iconic instruments used by the four members of the band, while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
