In 2020, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the End of the Second World War, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Second World War £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR70 DCAM.
The reverse designed by Matthew Dent and Christine Davies features the Words War and Peace and the dates 1945 - 2020 while the obverse depicts the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II both designed by Jody Clark.These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
